Celery-Mint Pickle

Hi all....
Its been a while since I posted on my blog.
Well its thanksgiving time here and we are really busy with friends and family..
Lotsa things to do.. cookin, shoppin, playin n many more :)
I havent made many purchases though... didnt find that good deals..

But today after a long time, I came up with a very tasty pickle.
There are quite few varieties of veggies that we find in the american stores and I am actually fed up cooking the same old veggies in the same old style and my husband is fed up eating the same old style of food.
And this celery-mint pickle came up from that boredom.
Celery is a veggie that has good quantities of low calorie dietary fiber.
Celery seeds are a great source of Calcium.
Nutrition facts apart. Now let me take you into the what and how of the recipe.

WHAT
Celery Sticks: 4-5 (washed and chopped)
Mint: a cup (washed and chopped)
Garlic: 4-5 cloves
Green chillies: 8-9 (depending on the spice level)
Salt to taste
marble sized tamarind
Oil for tempering
chana dal, urad dal, curry leaves, mustard seeds, cumin seeds.

HOW:
First put some oil in a pan and fry slit green chillies.
Now in the remaining oil put the celery pieces, some salt and tamarind and let them Cook for 10-12 minutes on medium flame. Once they are cooked and the rawness of the celery is gone, turn off the flame, put the chopped mint on the celery and top it with a lid.
Leave it aside for 5-6 minutes and let it cool down.
Now put the green chillies in a blender and blend them. in that paste, put the cooked celery and mint and blend them until u get a fine paste. (do not add any water. the moisture from the celery should be good enough to grind it)
Remove it into a bowl.
For tempering, heal oil in a pan. Put chana dal, Urad dal, curry leaves, cumin seeds, mustard seeds, chopped garlic cloves and turmeric.
Turn off the stove and after it cools down, mix it with the pickle.

Thats it... isnt it easy guys?? :)

The beauty of a Woman

A little boy asked his mother,
"Why are you crying?
"Because I'm a woman," she told him.
"I don't understand," he said.
His Mom just hugged him And said, "And you never will."
Later the little boy asked his father,"Why does mother seem to cry for no reason?""All women cry for no reason," was all his dad could say. The little boy grew up and became a man,Still wondering why women cry. Finally he put in a call to God.
When God got on the phone, he asked,
"God, why do women cry so easily?"

God said: "When I made the woman she had to be special.

I made her shoulders strong enough to carry the weight of the world, yet gentle enough to give comfort.

I gave her an inner strength to endure childbirth and the rejection that many times comes from her children.

I gave her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and take care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining.

I gave her the sensitivity to love her children under any
and all circumstances, even when her child has hurt her very badly.

I gave her strength to carry her husband through his faults and fashioned her from his rib to protect his heart.

I gave her wisdom to know that a good husband never hurts his wife, but sometimes tests her strengths and her resolve to stand beside him unfalteringly.

And finally, I gave her a tear to shed. this is hers, exclusively to use whenever it is needed.""You see my son," said God, "the beauty of a woman is not in the clothes she wears, the figure that she carries, or the way she combs her hair The beauty of a woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart - the place where love resides."

The Pani Puri Boy

That was the day I decided on visiting my grand parents in Gudiwada after getting an american visa and before flying to US for the first time....

The far end of Platform number 3 in secunderabad was spotted with a good number of passengers who were waiting for the door of the unreserved compartment to be opened. There was enough time for the Bangalore express to depart, but people were already waiting in large numbers to get into the general compartment.
It was 6’O clock in the evening and the door was opened and within no time all the seats were occupied by the passengers.
I got myself into one of those single seats, keeping in my mind that I haven’t have to share it with anybody else.
The seat opposite to me was occupied by a boy, about 13 years old.
He was lean, had unkempt hair and wore dirty clothes. He kept spitting out of the window in the way only few people can.
He looked reckless and kept humming some peppy mass numbers from the tollywood.
“Ekkadki pothunnav akka?” was something I did not expect.
“Gudiwada” I replied in very short sentences in order not to continue the conversation.
“Poddunna enta timeki eltam aadki?” he kept the conversation going.
“Poddunna 6 avutundi” This time I replied more inattentively.
He had a worried look at his 30Rs electronic watch and bore an expression of calculating something.

The train left sec'bad by 9’O Clock and the general compartment was already teeming with passengers.
A few of them settled in the aisle and a few others, who felt it rather undignified to do the same, tried to ask for a share in the seats.
I saw one such passenger, an obese 45 year old man, approaching my seat. I tried not to look at him, fearing that I have to share my seat with him.
The boy in my front did not think twice before offering his seat to him. I pitied the boy, for the man, almost occupied the whole seat.
The boy then slipped underneath the seats, to get himself into a sleep. He struggled to get any sleep as it was not so comfortable.
He returned into his first position, this time almost on the edge of the seat, for the man already occupied the whole seat.
I somehow felt bad on part of the boy, but he did not even have such a feeling towards the man he shared the seat with.
“Ye oorra needi?’, The obese man queried the boy.
“Madi yijayawada. Nenu Hyderabad lo pani jesta” replied the boy.
“Yem panira?”, the old man continued.
“Pani puri ammuta saar.” The boy announced proudly.
“Yentostundira rojuki??” the old man kept asking questions like a lawyer.
“Rojuki yaabhai roopayalostai” the boy told him with a sheepish smile.

“Water bottles…aa water bottles..aa thanda thanda water bottles..” the water vendor managed to maneuver the crowd in the compartment,
shouting in a typical railway Jargon. I was not particularly impressed with his management skills but was forced to buy one water bottle for having not planned
to get my own bottle from home. The boy bought a bottle for himself.
“12 rs per liter”, I felt like cursing the finance minister for such outrageous price tags for commodities which we can’t live without.
“Eamma, konchem neellu istava??” I was brought back into this world by some voice.
Before I could say yes or no, the Boy offered him, his bottle.

The train stopped at some station and they said that it won’t stop for more than 2 minutes. The train will not stop for the next 2 hours and anybody who had to have something for dinner had to quickly run along the platform and get some Tiffin. The boy wanted to eat something too. I agreed to get him something and managed to scurry across the platform to get us two plates of Idly.
I wan hungry enough to ignore the quality of the Idlies. It was when a few more people entered the bogie there were a few kids in them. The Pani Puri boy ate one idly and when he saw the kids looking at the Idlies avariciously, offered them the rest.
I was shocked to see his action, because he knows that he will not get anything to eat for sometime.

Even after the obese man got down at some XYZ station, he did not stop offering his seat to the kids around him.
He chatted with them and joked around with everybody.
The boy smiled at every other person and shared whatever he had.
He did not think about anything beyond one day in future.
He did not complain peevishly about anything.
My opinions about the boy started to change rapidly.
I suddenly realized that we have to learn so many things from this young Pani Puri boy.
He looked like a young Buddha to me.

He taught many of us who earn a 1000 times more than him and yet find it difficult to be happy for even one minute.
He taught many others who search for happiness everywhere else in the world, that it is within us.
He taught me the true meaning of life is to love everybody and to share whatever is possible for you.

I sincerely thank the Pani Puri boy for the lessons he taught.

Tortise/Hare story...................

Friends today I will narrate u a story that will bring some points into light……..so follow them and hope u will implement them which gives u success………….

lessons.... from a twist in the tortoise / hare story many folds and see what is the final moral.

Once upon a time a tortoise and a hare had an argument about who was faster. They decided to settle the argument with a race.

They agreed on a route and started off the race. The hare shot ahead and ran briskly for some time.

Then seeing that he was far ahead of the tortoise, he thought he'd sit under a tree for some time and relax before continuing the race. He sat under the tree and soon fell asleep.

The tortoise plodding on overtook him and soon finished the race, emerging as the undisputed champ.

-The hare woke up and realised that he'd lost the race. The moral of the story is that slow and steady wins the race. This is the version of the story that we've all grown up with. But then recently, someone told me a more interesting version of this story.

It continues... The hare was disappointed at losing and did some soul-searching. He realised that he'd lost the race only because he had been overconfident, careless and lax. If he had not taken things for granted, there's no way the tortoise could have beaten him. So he challenged the tortoise to another race. The tortoise agreed.

This time, the hare went all out and ran without stopping from start to finish. He won by several miles. The moral of the story? Fast and consistent will always beat the slow and steady.

If you have two people in your organisation, one slow, methodical and reliable, and the other fast and still reliable at what he does, the fast and reliable chap will consistently climb the organisational ladder faster than the slow, methodical chap. It's good to be slow and steady; but it's better to be fast and reliable.

But the story doesn't end here...

The tortoise did some thinking this time, and realised that there's no way he can beat the hare in a race the way it was currently formatted. He thought for a while, and then challenged the hare to another race, but on a slightly different route.

The hare agreed. They started off. In keeping with his self-made commitment to be consistently fast, the hare took off and ran at top speed until he came to a broad river. The finishing line was a couple of kilometres on the other side of the river.

The hare sat there wondering what to do. In the meantime the tortoise trundled along, got into the river, swam to the opposite bank, continued walking and finished the race. The moral of the story?

First identify your core competency and then change the playing field to suit your core competency. In an organisation, if you are a good speaker, make sure you create opprtunities to give presentations that enable the senior management to notice you.

If your strength is analysis, make sure you do some sort of research, make a report and send it upstairs. Working to your strengths will not only get you noticed, but will also create opportunities for growth and advancement.

The story still hasn't ended....

The hare and the tortoise, by this time, had become pretty good friends and they did some thinking together. Both realised that the last race could have been run much better. So they decided to do the last race again, but to run as a team this time.

They started off, and this time the hare carried the tortoise till the riverbank. There, the tortoise took over and swam across with the hare on his back. On the opposite bank, the hare again carried the tortoise and they reached the finishing line together.

They both felt a greater sense of satisfaction than they'd felt earlier. The moral of the story? It's good to be individually brilliant and to have strong core competencies; but unless you're able to work in a team and harness each other's core competencies, you'll always perform below par because there will always be situations at which you'll do poorly and someone else does well.

Teamwork is mainly about situational leadership, letting the person with the relevant core competency for a situation takes leadership.

There are more lessons to be learnt from this story...

Note that neither the hare nor the tortoise gave up after failures. The hare decided to work harder and put in more effort after his failure. The tortoise changed his strategy because he was already working as hard as he could.

In life, when faced with failure, sometimes it is appropriate to work harder and put in more effort. Sometimes it is appropriate to change strategy and try something different.
And sometimes it is appropriate to do both.

The hare and the tortoise also learnt another vital lesson. When we stop competing against a rival and instead start competing against the situation, we perform far better.

When Roberto Goizueta took over as CEO of Coca-Cola in the 1980s, he was faced with intense competition from Pepsi that was eating into Coke's growth. His executives were Pepsi-focussed and intent on increasing market share 0.1 per cent a time. Goizueta decided to stop competing against Pepsi and instead compete against the situation of 0.1 per cent growth. He asked his executives what was the average fluid intake of an American per day? The answer was 14 ounces.

What was Coke's share of that? Two ounces. Goizueta said Coke needed a larger share of that market. The competition wasn't Pepsi. It was the water, tea, coffee, milk and fruit juices that went into the remaining 12 ounces.

The public should reach for a Coke whenever they felt like drinking something. To this end, Coke put up vending machines at every street corner. Sales took a quantum jump and Pepsi has never quite caught up since. To sum up, the story of the hare and tortoise teaches us many things.

Chief among them are

- fast and consistent will always beat slow and steady;
- work to your competencies;
- pooling resources and working as a team will always beat individual performers
- never give up when faced with failure;
and finally,

- compete against the situation - not against a rival

Masala Vada

There is this train journey back in India which has such fond memories for me. My mother would usually pack food for us during such journey to avoid buying anything from outside – but she will skip doing so for this one. Why? Cos I will not eat anything of that. I would starve before and during the journey, would not take anything which fellow passengers would offer and will sit with my stomach grumbling away to glory. Was I such a troublesome child- you ask? Well frankly I would like to think No There was a specific reason for my behavior. On the way, there used to be this one particular station where they used to sell one of the best Masala Vada, I have ever tasted! The aroma wafting through our coach window has the power to just lift you off the seat! Bliss!
I used to eat only that and at that age it never mattered what any “subsequent result” would be for eating at such outside joints. But till date, nothing has ever happened to me!So when it was raining recently and we were also expecting guests from India, I couldn’t help reminiscing about these spicy fritters and I gave in to make these fried goodies! So much for my avoiding fried foods! Anyways it is immensely simple to make and the taste is simply out of this world. Needless to say this recipe is from my mom and without further delay, lemme go into the method.
Ingredients
1/3 cup whole black gram dal (urad gota dal)
1/3 cup bengal gram dal (channa dal)
1/3 cup Pigeon peas (toor dal)
1 medium onion,chopped very fine
1 tsp Garam Masala
1 tsp cumin seeds
2-3 green chillies, sliced thinly (or as per taste)
2-3 dried red chillies (as per taste)
salt to taste

Method

Soak the 3 lentils in sufficient water (after cleaning in cold water) for at least 1 hour.
Drain the water well and blend it in a food processor. Make sure you add No water.
The consistency should be very thick. If you are not able to blend properly, then add few drops at a time. The ground mixture should be little coarse and you should be able to take it in your hands and shape them.
Now add rest of the ingredients to this mixture
and stir until blended well.
Take a plastic sheet/zip lock bag. Grease little with oil/water. If you are just a beginner cook, then add oil in order to avoid the water splattering the hot oil when you drop this batter. Take a little of the fritter mixture. Shape it into a round and press it flat on the sheet. oil your fingers to avoid it from sticking to your hands.
Now flip the plastic sheet to your hands so that the mixture drops smoothly on your fingers. You can put it directly to the oil if you are comfortable.
Drop this gently to hot oil and fry until both the sides is golden.
Place it in paper towel to get rid of excess oil.
Serve hot with any condiment of your choice or just by itself.
It is excellent the minute it is made. So make sure you make them just few minutes before serving.

Try it buddies n u'll lv it....

Science teaches us

Science teaches us that for every action there is an equal and opposite reaction. While we know this applies to the physical realm, we often forget that it also applies to the emotional realm. I was reminded of this recently when I found a copy of the poem entitled, The Laws of Life. It contains 15 truths about cause-effect relationships, each of them valuable for molding a better me - and a better you.

- The more generous we are, the more joyous we become.
- The more enthusiastic we are, the more valuable we become.
- The more interested we are, the more alive we become.
- The more caring we are, the more radiant we become.
- The more serving we are, the more prosperous we become.
- The more outgoing we are, the more helpful we become.
- The more persistent we are, the more successful we become.
- The more grateful we are, the more Godly we become.
- The more forgiving we are, the freer we become.
- The more prayerful we are, the more blessed wee become.
- The more curious we are, the more creative we become.
- The more trusting we are, the wiser we become.
- The more patient we are, the more responsive we become.
- The more considerate we are, the more peaceful we become.
- The more cheerful we are, the more attractive we become.

This great poem reminds us that we're each in charge of ourselves and points out specific ways we can become a better person - if we want to. It also tells us what the rewards will be for living in this way. If we plant the seeds, we will reap the harvest.

Try following if not all at least a couple of these LAWS OF LIFE and try to become a better person....

Thanks
:)Hima

The PULI effect

Yeah.. It needs a while for me to come out of the PULI effect.
Couldn't help watching the movie coz there was no other way to while away time.

This is the movie from Power star Pawan Kalyan after a long hiatus after ‘Jalsa’. And this is the movie that has come in the combination of SJ Suryah and Pawan that made big success a decade ago with ‘Khushi’. Pawan, who has been keeping his fans in the lurch for quite a while has finally arrived amidst tension and confusion in the form of ‘Komaram Puli’.

The wait is over and result is out…Sweet result would have a made the longing lovelier…But there are times a bitter outcome would drain your dreams. ‘Puli’ is one such movie that kept millions of people counting the days…and the final reaction is something beyond the imagination…

Here’s some chit chat on good and bad…What all went wrong and what was intended!!

Plot: ‘Puli’ is the movie about the sincere police for whom the duty is the prime and society his temple. Movie is all about his “Puli Team” a special team to keep an eye on police department and there by safeguard the interests of common man. In the process he has a tiff a business tycoon Alsalem (Manoj Bajpai).

Abba Chaa!!

Many might have had the hint when the trailers are out…but shocking thrills await us from the very beginning…when

Puli’s mother trains him to march “Left Right” when he is in her womb.

Sooner he grows, Puli starts climbing from Helicopter and then jumps on from one skyscraper to other. Not so later he pierces the bullets with the sword.

He is not just man of action as he frequently has war of words with the villain where each of their kidding argument occupies 20 minutes of screen time.

Then he is “chaaala chaaala!!” smart while he traces the goons just by their voice

But poor puli is outwitted by his lady love who plays a fresh drama each time, once to love him (she disguises as lady police)...next to marry him (she acts as she is in the death bed!!) and many more acts like artificial thunders and rain!!!

Scenes jump without continuity and songs creep in without a warning…Add additional graphics where in the whole screen has a ripple effects and sometimes the checker boxes.

Pawan Kalyan was loud and annoying, he reminded of Sai Kumar in Kannada movies showing over energy at every dialogue of his.

Gud luck pavan :)

Work at becoming the kind of person others want to be around

For many years, Dr. Norman Vincent Peale was a consistent source of excellent ideas for successful living. His books and tapes inspire to keep working to become a better person. Here are some of the ideas he suggested for getting along better with others. They are sound advice for all of us and worth repeating. Test yourself on each of them to evaluate how you are doing

1. Learn to remember names. People's names are very important to them. Forgetting a person's name is often taken as a sign you're not interested in them.
2. Relax and be a comfortable person to be with. Make sure there is no strain in being around you. No one enjoys being around upright people.
3. Learn to be an easy-going person. Take things in stride. Don't let little things bother you.
4. Don't be egoistical or give the impression you know everything. Work at learning from those around you. Learn to respect other people's opinions.
5. Be an interesting person. Stimulate others. Work at becoming the kind of person others want to be around.
6. Smooth out your rough spots. Learn to be gracious, polite, and tactful.
7. Be a peacemaker. Shrug off grievances. Honestly try to correct every misunderstanding you are involved in.
8. Overlook people's faults. Work at choosing to like others until you learn to do it naturally.
9. Boost other people. Encourage them, support them, congratulate them, and tell them why you appreciate them.
10. Develop spiritual depth so you have something to pass on to others. Learn to share this strength with people you meet.

I haven't mastered all these points. There is still much I can improve.
I am still working on them..
Will you???

I know u will..
Thanks

Relocation pain

Hiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii....
I know its a long time I havent posted anything here and you all already miss me....
Well I missed you too...

But all of you all know the reason behind my absence....

Relocation isn't as easy as u (we) think. If you were a bachelor it wouldn't be a big deal otherwise, its a lot of pain.... You have to work your ass-off to pack all the stuff.. kitchen, clothes, living room and what not everything. The other pain is deciding on what to take and what to trash :(.. While I had to dump extra things in the trash, then I decided that I have to think 10 times while buying anything for my home just like the way you consult 10 people while getting your daughter married... hehehe....
Coz it would be fun to shop around but then when u have to carry all the stuff where ever you go, that would practically be impossible...

Its been 3 weeks since we drove all the way from upstate New York to North Carolina..
Well.... driving 640 miles took us 12 loooooooooooong hours but then neither of us never felt the strain. Reasons could be the 75 miles/hour speed limit (well we drove in 80 though.. coz rules are always rules wherever we are and the rule that rules are meant to be broken would never change)
We didnt feel broken coz we took 2 or three breaks on our way for food and gas.
In one of the gas stations I have found a hoarding that says "our food gives you gas".... wasn't that clear what it really means... but it definitely brought a smile on our faces :D

Well let me give you few details about the state and then I will share my experiences I had here....

North Carolina is in the southern part of the united states of america with Raleigh as the capital and Charlotte as the largest city. Throughout the year the temperatures here are really hottttt when compared to the other parts of the united states (they make me feel like I am in India). The sad part is that I will miss the New York winters especially the snow). My husband feels lucky coz he doesn't have to clean up his car every single day in the freezing winters coz it barely snows here.

One thing I observed is that people here use a different dialect to communicate.. They kind of speak like a typical andhra guy speaks.... There is a peculiar way they stretch each and every word (that made it at times a little difficult for us to understand :)

And on our way from NY to NC, when we stopped for food (and the gas it gives.. according to the hoarding :D), I felt very embarrassed coz everyone was looking at us like we were aliens or abandoned. I believe they have this racial discrimination. Yeah they have lotsa racism... huhh..... disgusting....

The place hickory is pretty much like the place we lived before except the no snow (in bold) winters...
Keeping aside the weather, I like the place... We are very close to the mall, wal-mart, sams-club and what not everything....

And that is all for now... coz we haven't explored much here so I will keep adding stuff as time passes on if anything interesting comes up and you keep checking out :D

The Wedding Crashers

Hi All
I can't believe its been more than a month since I posted something...
But, well, procrastination is a way with me and sorry for being out of the loop for so long...especially since there's been so much going on in my life....I really don't know where to begin all over again...

Looking at the title I am 200% sure you people are mistaken assuming that I will be talking about the English movie 'Wedding Crashers'. But no....
Its almost the season so many people step into their new phase of life getting married to their life mate. I was just thinking about one of my friends sister who is expected to enter her wed-lock very soon and some how my thoughts were jumping here and there and I finally ended up thinking about aish and bacchan's wedding.

I still haven't got over it. No not the fact that Ash and Abhishek got married but the fact that a news channel ran the SAME story with ABSOLUTELY no NEWS the ENTIRE DAY! I kid you not people.

So let's start at the beginning. Since the news channel ...oh to hell with it...it was Headlines Today...since they hadn't been invited to the wedding they got two of their reporters dressed in wedding finery and stationed them at the studio. And they proceeded to talk and talk and talk about the most insane stuff I have ever heard in my life. Which I will get to in a bit.

So there's a camera stationed outside Amitab's house. And the "whole world" was waiting with bated breath for Abishek to clamber on his horse and ride out in all glory to his other house. And our anchors back in studio chatter about absolutely nothing for 2 hours before Abhishek finally comes out.
And now here it goes

Male anchor: So do you think Abhi (as if he were his chaeddi dost or pathang fren) will come out in 5, 10, 15 or 20 mins?
Female Anchor (giggling to eat up air time): Oh we could bet on that!
MA: Cricket's not the only thing we can place bets huh?
HA HA HA HA - that's them laughing not me.

And it goes on. When a sliver of Abhishek is seen through the side window of the huge bus parked in front of the house, the two anchors are in raptures.
Male Anchor: "Oh there he is! The moment we have all been waiting for"
(now tell me who has got no work or no life and have been waiting all the day to just look at abhishek)

Female Anchor: "If only I could go whisper in his ear 'Jhalak dhikla ja'"

Sure why don't you do just that? Oh yes of course...coz you're a journalist and NOT A CRAZED fan whispering demented songs in his ear.

It was pathetic. The camera could only show you glimpses of people arriving, half of whom the reporters failed to recognize. Only the really famous ones like Jaya Pradha (???) were excitedly commented upon.
Female Anchor: "Oh there's Jaya Bachchan! I'm so glad we could see her!" wait wait... come again.....
And then we had the Male Anchor give us some juicy news.
Male Anchor: "We have just received information from our on-the-scene reporter that Ash is going to be riding on two dolis! "
Breaking news!

Male Anchor: "Yes! And the first one she will get into at Prateeksha and then get off at Prateeksha itself!"

We never heard whether Ash would ride the second doli into her bathroom or it was meant for higher purposes.
Female Anchor: "For interesting updates like that keep watching our 24 hrs news channel!"
Well may be the news channels should be put in the list of entertainment channels as they are very much aiming at telecasting the wedding, break ups, engagement stories and the gossips about the celebrities rather than focusing on educating people about whats going around the world.

Of course the channel devoted the whole morning to interviewing this crazy (and very unattractive) woman who claimed she was married to Abhishek. She was obviously after the publicity and any half-brained twit could see that. She kept repeating the same things and the reporters kept asking silly questions.

OK now let me get to the point of the whole post (yes there is a point) ...what on EARTH are news channels thinking when they air stuff like this throughout the day? The occasional 'other' news that they deemed important enough ran by on ticker tape. Why point a camera at a gate the whole day, waiting for a Bollywood star to come out only to get into a bus? Do they really think that that's what people want to watch ALL day?

This is not an isolated event. Other news channels too run atrocious stories based on flimsy facts and uninteresting news. And everything is backed by 'experts' - psychologists, professionals and god knows who else - who sit there and declare so many conclusions and things like
"Jhanwi is deluded. Perhaps she really believes that Abhishek married her!"
HELLO?

The most disgusting thing is that the audience is assumed to be foolish, ignorant, hungry for celebrity gossip, excited by the channel's idea of sensational news and dying for gruesome news. And please don't even think we can't see through the 'Since we don't have enough information let's put some experts on a panel, play reruns of the same visuals and ask the same old questions to our harried reporters on the scene'.

We KNOW.

There are many people who are born with no money for feeding themselves at least twice a day. And there are many more who are dying coz of health issues and having no money to cure their diseases. And there are thousands of them who want to study but have no money to pay for the school. And on the other side, there are thousands of government employees who are taking crores and crores of our money (the reason I said our money is most of the money they are robbing is nothing but the taxes we pay every year) and buying what not everything. The kids of theirs spend an average of 5000 a day as pocket money....

But then the NEWS channels are concentrating more on the celebrities rather than the society and the needful.

All the NEWS channels should firstly understand why they are called NEWS channels and whats the difference between NEWS and ENTERTAINMENT channels...

May be things will then get better...

Hoping for better NEWS..

Yours
Raj

సొగసు చూడ తరమా

Hey Hiiiiiii

I was kind of busy till y'day and didn't get a chance to post.
We visited a nearby park last weekend and had really wonderful time with the family.
My description wont do any justice to the park's beauty but u have to see it with your own eyes and feel the atmosphere.
The whole park is like 20miles long with water falls, flowing water, cabins and camping in between...
I never knew that water and the trees could be that beautiful that they haven't allowed me move my eyes off them....
Each and every view has a beauty of its own....
There are birds, honey bees and flies on those trees, there are people making barbecue, children playing in the park enjoying the sound waters make while flowing down the way....
You can do water rafting also if u r not afraid of water... (well I am)
The beauty of the scene was capable enough to arouse a poet from person of any kind.
We took lotsa pictures and I thought of sharing few of them with you.
The best way I could describe is to say that I felt this is the must see place after the Niagara falls....

You can have maximum fun if you plan at least 2-3 night stay in the cabins available so that you can enjoy water rafting, walking around the park and if you have a couple of other friends with you, it will be even more fun. On spot grills are available there for you to make barbecue during the nights and grab a bottle of wine :)

One and only Ravi Chaparala

GOODMORNING.
No, it is not the alarm on his mobile. (before u mis-interpret that its the alarm sound). He never wakes up for the alarm doesn't matter how loud it is. In fact, people never give him a chance to make use of his alarm though.

It is a phone call. His day has begun, as every other day, filled with phone calls. His mobile rings only once or twice in a day yet he is all day talking on his mobile. No, he doesn't make all the calls. You must be wondering...

How is this possible?

But then there is a way. He always has a call waiting, so he hangs up one and takes the other. So, his mobile very rarely rings. Do you think I am exaggerating the things? You will say definitely say I am not as soon as I reveal the name of the person am talking about. Am talking about none other than Mr.RAVI CHAPARALA.
Now you must have understood very well that am not exaggerating the things.
All of those who have called him have always heard the busy message.

Lets try to solve the "who he talks to?" mystery. He frequently makes calls to his parents in India. He daily speaks with this family there. But you know what!!! Even they have to wait for him to end the previous call!!!

Let's assume that he always talks to his friends. Let me tell you before hand that he has a lot of friends and most of them are girls. But even they are put on waiting. Then, he must always be talking to his girl friend. Nope even she waits.

Who does he talk to all the time? He continuously talks to all of them. There is a lot of competition among people belonging to all the three categories I mentioned above.

Now guess who wins?............................................ THE LUCKIEST!!!
Now coming to the "what he talks?" mystery. Well you can hear him talking about real estate, politics, jobs, business, scams, history, films, music, exams, people, events and the list goes on. He talks everything from the most sophisticated to utter rubbish. You can even hear him talk in many languages... sometimes English, sometimes Hindi and sometimes Telugu.
And now for the 'why do so many people want to talk to him (in spite of call waiting)?' mystery. He is one of the sweetest persons you will ever meet in your life. He is the first person you would like to call in case of any problem. He is one of the persons you can count on under any circumstances. Talk to him and you can talk for days and you will never run out of conversation. He always has the right things to tell you at the right time. His words are so cushioning that if you get used to them you will call wait endlessly to talk to him.
Many researchers have claimed that mobile phone is injurious to brain or whatever. I call upon all the researchers to conduct their examinations and researches on Ravi, as there are a very few people in this world who use their mobile phone as much as he does.

Long live RAVI..... Long live his MOBILE...!!!

A couple of frens came down to visit us during the weekend...
So was kinda busy wid them... and the past 2 or 3 days went with movies n stuff...

and didnt get a chance to post.... now here I am back again....   :)

Here I came up with a very interesting and useful thing (for the first time...hehhehe)
I am kinda gainin weight these days and seriously had a thought of losing a few pounds....
I am doing things like playing volley ball, following some diet in order to achieve the weight loss I had in my mind...
Here I would like to share the program I have been following and would also insist you to follow... It really helps.. Trust me....

This program is designed for a target weight loss of 5-6 Kgs. per week. It will also improve your attitude and emotions because of its systematic cleansing effects. The effectiveness of this seven day plan is that the foods eaten burn more calories than they give to the body in caloric value. This plan can be used as often as you like to without any fear of complications. It is designed to flush your system of impurities and give you a feeling of well being. After seven days you will begin to feel lighter by atleast 10 pounds. You will have an abundance of energy and an improved disposition.
During the first seven days you must drink 10 glasses of water each day.

Day One:
All fruits except bananas. Your first day will consists of all fruits you want. It is suggested you consume lots of watermelon and cantaloupe.

Day Two:
All vegetables. You are encouraged to eat until you are stuffed with all the new and cooked vegetables of your choice. There is no limit on the account or type. Avoid oil and coconut while cooking vegetables. Have large boiled potato for breakfast.

Day Three:
Any mixture of fruits and vegetables of your choice. Any amount, any quantity. No bananas yet and no potatoes today.

Day Four:
Bananas and milk. Today you will eat as many as eight bananas and drink three glasses of milk. You can also have one bowl of vegetables soup.

Day Five:
Today is a feast day. You will eat 1 (one) cup of rice. You also have to eat 6 (six) whole tomatoes and drink 12 (twelve) glasses of water today to cleanse your system of the excess uric acid you will be producing.

Day Six:
Today is another all vegetables day. You must eat 1 cup of rice today and eat all the vegetables you want cooked and uncooked to your heart's content.

Day Seven :
Today your food intake will consist of 1 cup rice, fruit juice and all the vegetables you care to consume. Tomorrow morning you will be five to eight kilograms lighter than 1 week ago.

If you desire further weight loss, repeat the program again. Repeat the program as often as you like, however, it is suggested that you rest for three days before every repetition.

Hope this would help all those who has plans to become slim.....

See how simple that is...
You yourself see the change after the first week.....
Now if you gained weight you dont have to go to gym or visit anoos sisters...

See you all again real soon with another useful thing....

God was with me

Hi All
Its me yaa....
Hope things are going good guns :)
I just felt like sharing an incident that happened to me last evening
Shall we start??? Of course I would tell you even if you say NO... Cos this is the only place where I talk and you listen :D

My maama and attha came from New Jersy to visit us. we just spent the whole day at home and felt like going to a near by camping spot in the evening.
On the way to the spot, I lost my wallet. I realized the loss not immediately but after a couple of minutes... I searched for it in the whole car. The front, back and the trunk and still couldn't find it.. Then I thought I might have left it at home home. Went back to my apt and looked all over the apartment and in the parking lot too. I was even looking at the road all the way from the spot to our apt but haven't found the purse. I wouldn't have really cared if it just had money and nothing else...but it contained my everything.. I mean my credit cards, debit cards, SSN, gift cards, my Visa .. and what not...
We again searched at the camping spot and at my home for the second time and not finding it, we decided on filing a complaint.. went to the nearest police station and they said nothing has been reported yet.

I was almost crying...
I thought I should again look in and around the parking lot...

and

There he came. A cop.
and my goodness he brought my purse.
Someone found it and they handed it over to the police.

Donno who the person is but I owe him/her so much.... They almost gave my life back to me....

Thanks Buddy

The BIG DAY

Hi all..
As most of you know, I got married a few months ago and would like to share my experiences with you...
He and me are both from different families each with a different life style of its own.
We never knew each other before but we decided to enter into life time relationship and the decision was made after a couple of telephonic conversations...
We decided to enter the wed lock on 11th December,2009.
And I planned to fly to India on 19th of November and he on 24th of November.
We met for the second time at my home on 30th of November and that was a formal engagement, a gathering of both the families.
Then this telangana issue came up and every day they started coming up with new demands. This was the major disturbance in the lives of people from both andhra area and telangana area.
Arey bhai... though we were born in andhra, our schooling and all happened in hyderabad and I now dont understand why the hell do these telangana people want their separate state....
Planning to do much of my shopping in India, I bought nothing here in United States before flying to my home country. This telangana issue forced people into losses by just not letting them do their businesses (the so called BANDH)

The day we started from Hyderabad to Vijayawada (commencement of my wedding was in vjw), all the chaos in hyd got settled and now this andhra people started their own fight for SAMAIKHYANDHRA.

Oh my God.... On the day of weeding also the bandh was still continuig and we thought most of the people wouldnt show up for the function. But then to our surprise, 98% of them showed up before everything ended.
The effect of the bandh started slightly fading around 5 in the evening and our wedding was planned at 7:30 Pm. So there was a chance for the guests to plan things and bless us. Thanks (from the bottom of my heart) to all of them who made it.

The reason for me thanking them so personally is, coz of the bandh, there were no buses, no autos or anything. I mean to say no means of public transportation. And I understood the trouble the guests suffered in attending for the wedding. Mostly few oldies who have a hard time even to walk, I am totally pleased with their appearance at the venue.

After the wedding, we had reception on the 13th in hyderabad (my place). And there was bandh again... But now, 99% of them came.
Specially to mention, I was very happy to see my under graduation mates sudha with her husband and archana. Thanks a million dear...

The next day we went to tirupathi. I was taking the steps along with my husband and a couple of his friends. We were talking all the way and that made the walk less tiresome. Thanks to you guys...

Finally the whole India trip happened to be very boring coz of this telangana issue. Thought P.R or Y.S.R were alive and in that case, this issue would have never came up.

And thats how it all went in the rush.... I was kind of little upset but then how the marriage happened isnt important but all that matters to me is whether the after marriage days keep me happy or sad. And I am glad I am happy with Raj...

And last but not the least I MUST thank my mom and dad for finding such a wonderful partner for me... thanks ma and dad... lv u both...

Ooooops... got something to do...
Will catch up with ya very soon..
till then take care..
bubyeeeeee

Oh Wow....
Its the costliest day of the year.. The valentines day..
Yeah...we know the longest day of the year is June 21, the shortest day of the year is December 20 and likewise, costliest day of the year is February 14th.
You don't really have to be a valentine to celebrate this. Well almost all of us celebrate even in spite of not being in love.
Gifts, parties, movies, parks and what not.
When we see few of us celebrating love and affection between their intimate companions, we also see many teenagers and our buddies proposing their love.
Today I have seen a 7 year old kiddo saying that he wants to propose his love to his classmate :D. Love is becoming so popular these days..

Many people choose this day to express their love to their loved ones. And these college going guys would then hold an acid bottle to throw on the ladies face or a knife to cut her throat and put her to death in case she denies his proposal. OMG...How awful that is.
How could you dare to kill the one you loved so much?? What is love all about?
When I go through the news about these (love) attacks, I wonder if these people at least know what love is.

Come on guys.. If u really have so much of love for those ladies, then try impressing them and gaining theirs heart or just leave them alone but please don't kill them.

Thanks
Hima
